WELCOME TO OUR JUNIORS

Coventry Hearsall Golf Club is dedicated to supporting young players who are the future of our game. Our club is the perfect place to introduce youngsters to golf, offering a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere that encourages junior participation.

The Coventry Hearsall Junior Section aims to develop children as golfers, athletes, and well-rounded individuals. We believe golf is a vehicle for learning lifelong values and skills such as optimism, persistence, and respect. Our goal is to enrich lives and open doors for children seeking recreational activities, as well as for those aspiring to compete at the highest levels.

Safeguarding

Everyone working with children and young people has a responsibility to keep them safe, regardless of their role, whether they are paid staff or volunteers. England Golf and Coventry Hearsall Golf Club are committed to ensuring that golf is a sport where all participants can thrive in a safe environment. We strive to provide all children and young people with an enjoyable and positive experience when playing golf.

Junior Section

We have a thriving Junior section at Coventry Hearsall Golf Club, offering a structured environment for those who want to start playing golf or continue developing their game. We are committed to nurturing your child’s ability and enthusiasm for this lifelong sport. Lessons are fun, sociable, and conducted in a safe environment.

Competitions: Juniors with handicaps can participate in regular junior competitions. Those with full handicaps are encouraged to enter adult competitions at the club. Many of our recent club champions have progressed through the Junior ranks.

Progression: Coventry Hearsall Golf Club supports all junior golfers in reaching their potential. Many of our juniors have advanced to play for their county and even become county captains. Our club provides the perfect environment for juniors of all ages to learn the skills needed to enjoy golf throughout their lives. Additionally, many of our juniors have progressed to play for England Regional Squads.

Joining the thriving Junior section at Coventry Hearsall Golf Club offers opportunities that many clubs can only imagine for their juniors.

If you are representing CHGC, we have club polo shirts donated by the 200 Club for you to wear. We also have a substanial amount of golf balls donated by our memebers for our juniors .Please contact Gary.

Starting in May 2025, all our juniors will pay a yearly subscription to be part of CHGC. The subscription will go towards the improvement and development of our Junior section.

JUNIOR CAPTAIN 2025/26

I have been member at Coventry Hearsall Golf Club for the year now and I am honour to be appointed junior captain for the 2025/26 season.
Over the past year this golf club has drastically improved my golf and my social skills. 
Throughout the 25/26 season there will be a wide range of competitions such as a roll ups stablefords and opens.

   •   14th April – Junior Open (CHGC)
   •   18th May – Robert Rock Junior Open (CHGC)
   •   28th May – Roll Up Stableford
   •   22nd June – Sign Up Stableford (14:20 start, £2 entry fee, prizes)
   •   27th July – Sign Up Stableford (14:00 start, £2 entry fee, prizes)
   •   10th August – Sign Up Stableford (14:00 start, £2 entry fee, prizes)

Sign-up opens on 9th April for all three Stableford competitions.

Friendlies:
   •   6th July – Friendly Singles Match vs. Stratford Avon Golf Club (more to be arranged)

Due to high demand, we are limiting new junior places. During the evening of the 15th April meeting, a staff member will be available to assist with junior sign-ups for the new season.
